In today's day and age, society has made it hard for people to truly engage in their relationships. Unfortunately, quality time with dad often means spending $50 to sit in a three-hour movie where no one talks to each other. I recall as a kid spending time camping or hiking with my family, a time when my phone was not continually distracting me. I was able to pay attention to the people around me and be present.

When I was in college, I came to the realization that those days seemed to be few and far between. I was surprised to learn how many of my peers had not experienced quality time with their families and saw how that significantly affected their lives. Many of them graduated from college with even more questions and uncertainty than when they first started school.

Ultimately, I began to realize that people need genuine connection with others––not just surface or casual acquaintances, but authentic relationships. I created The Joshua Foundation for that purpose:

to give people opportunities to spend time with friends and family, to enhance the lives of those around them, and to help people take hold of the passions that Christ has given them.

To accomplish our mission, The Joshua Foundation will offer summer camps and retreats for families and children, partner with music artists to put on live events throughout the year, and provide counseling to families and children who need help with processing tragedy or restoring relationships.

God has called us to be a part of some really remarkable things. Thanks for taking part in what He is doing!
