Asheville Pinball Museum: With 35 pinball machines and 35 classic video games, Asheville Pinball Museum is every kid's dream! For $15 a person, you can play any game you like for as long as you like. 

Pro Tip: Since the Museum doesn’t take reservations, make sure you get there close to opening time to ensure you get a chance to try out all the games! 

Food Tours: Asheville Food Tours offers a variety of food tours to fit your unique tastes and personalities. Their website includes information about each tour so that you can choose which tour will best suit your favorite flavors! Some of our favorites include the Brunch Tour offered on Saturdays or the Downtown Tour where you can tour six to seven of the best restaurants in Downtown Asheville. 

Pro Tip: These tours are recommended for teenagers or older children!  

The North Carolina Arboretum: This Arboretum is located south of Asheville and features beautiful gardens and vast trails for hiking, walking, and biking. This activity is perfect for the adventurous families who love being outdoors! There is no fee for admission, except a parking fee of $16 for standard vehicles. If you are coming with a larger vehicle or bus, check their website for more information on parking fees. 

Western North Carolina Nature Center: If your children love animals, this is the place to be! The Nature Center hosts over 60 species of Southern Appalachian wildlife! Educational programs throughout the day give kids a chance to interact with animals and wildlife experts to learn more about each species. You can even book private tours if you want more from your experience. Entrance costs roughly $14 per person with kids 2 and younger admitted for free! 

Pro Tip: This is a great place for kids of all ages! Even toddlers and young children will love this Nature Center, as there are many play areas scattered throughout the park. 

Craggy Gardens: Craggy Gardens offers AMAZING views. This easy 1.5 round trip hike is perfect for all ages and will be a great experience even for younger children. With a picnic area and restrooms, this is a perfect place to camp out for the day. You can also stay and enjoy stargazing at night!

Biltmore Village: The Biltmore Village is a beautiful historic section of Asheville that includes shops, restaurants, and hotels. This can be especially great for older kids who like to walk around, do a little shopping, and enjoy some good food!
