Family Ideas: Paint Night

Paint night! Crafts are a great way to spend time with your family, encourage your children to express themselves, and spark meaningful conversations.

Not creative? No problem! We have plenty of ideas to get you started! Want to dive deeper? Try out some of the conversation starters listed next to the activities.

For older children:

  1. Paint a portrait of someone else in the family. Have everyone guess who you painted!

  2. Paint your favorite place. Did anyone paint the same place? Why is that your favorite place?

  3. See who can paint their favorite food the fastest. Winner gets to have their favorite food tomorrow! (Hint: This is a great way to spark another family time tomorrow night with a family dinner.)

  4. Paint your favorite family memory. Have everyone guess the memory! Why is that memory your favorite?

For younger children:

  1. Grab your favorite color! Paint a picture using just that color. Why is that your favorite color? What does it remind you of?

  2. Paint the first letter of your name in the most creative way possible! What’s your favorite thing about painting?

  3. Try to paint all the shapes as fast as you can. First one done, wins! Ready, set, PAINT!

    1. Star

    2. Square

    3. Circle

    4. Triangle

  4. Paint a family portrait. What is your favorite thing your family does together?
